Surprise: The Prix-Fixe at Momofuku Noodle Bar

russet potato chip, lemon creme fraiche, trout roe, dill

Is it crazy to go to Momofuku Noodle Bar and order the prix-fixe?  No, because I can promise you it will be the most interesting meal you will eat all week, maybe all month.  I also know you will be happily eating your dishes and the person next to you will be happily slurping on ramen and you might get wistful.  Truthfully, the ramen is impossible NOT to order. There is a simple solution: go with a friend, a good friend, SHARE the prix-fixe and ramen.  That’s what my friend Lucy and I did, pairing it with the sake flight.

Duck, with Grain Mustard, Meyer Lemon puree (top left) and a runny egg

Momofuku Ramen

Wine and Cheese soft serve ice cream (seriously, the ice cream tasted like Chardonnay) and Chocolate Chip cake balls, which were insanely, guiltily good.
